Family enjoys Green Valley Ranch

Bob and Kathy Patti, along with their 16-year-old son, Robert, have enjoyed watching the Green Valley Ranch master-planned community grow since becoming residents in 1997.

"We were initially attracted to Green Valley Ranch by the beautiful design of this community, including all of the parks, open space areas and walking trails," Bob Patti said.

"However, another important factor in our decision to buy a home here was the peace of mind associated with knowing what would be built around us in the future. ... Since moving into our home, we have been very pleased with the progress of Green Valley Ranch and all it offers to us as a family. We love the recreational amenities that are already in place and are looking forward to future development, such as the Henderson Promenade and Special Events Plaza."

Plans for the 38-acre plaza include a 7,500-seat amphitheater; a 70,000-square-foot community center with an aquatic center, scheduled for completion late this year; a police substation, which is already open; and a public library to be built at a later date.

The Pattis are also pleased with the pride of homeownership in the community.

"It's a family-oriented community, where people tend to get to know each other and are focused on keeping their properties well-maintained," Kathy Patti said. "We quickly made many new friends and have enjoyed the various social events, such as the concerts in the parks."

The community, developed by American Nevada Corp., is nearing closeout. Homes priced from the $160,000s are being offered in Castle Rock Estates and Mystic Bay by Richmond American Homes; Meritage by Capital Pacific Homes; and Carriage Lane by U.S. Home.

The community is located south of Interstate 215, between Pecos Road and Arroyo Grande Boulevard. To visit, take the Interstate 215 to the Green Valley Parkway, exit south to the community.
