FOR THE RECORD: Home builders hire new government affairs director



-- The Southern Nevada Home Builders Association appointed Colleen A. Wilson-Pappa as director of government affairs. Wilson-Pappa, assistant planning manager at the Clark County Comprehensive Planning Department, will join the association Feb. 4. She has worked for the county since 1993.

-- Lee and Associates' Scott Owens and Mel Koich represented Artex International in its 38-month lease of 23,625 square feet at 3030 N. Lamb Blvd., Suite 112, to Magnum Industrial Center, represented by Michael Panciro, for $290,615. In another transaction, Dave Knapper and Steve Santanna represented New Bremen Investments in its purchase of 13,140 square feet at 141 N. Gibson Road in Henderson from Conde Del Mar Properties for $1 million.

-- CB Richard Ellis' Spencer Ballif and Jeff Swinger represented SSR Realty Advisors in the sale of the 168-unit Palermo Apartments at 5870 W. Harmon Ave. to Medern Development Corp. for $10.3 million. In another transaction, Bill Dunbar represented Phillips Petroleum Co. in its sale of one-half acre at 1323 Nevada Highway in Boulder City to John David Floyd for $184,000. Melanie Braud also represented WXI/MCN Commercial Real Estate in its five-year lease of 3,250 square feet at 1771 E. Flamingo Road to SORA Management for $310,000.

-- GVA Industrial Property Group's Bill Walsh represented both parties in Gemini Rosen's sale of a 5,600-square-foot building at 722 N. Main St. to Rolando Tamayo, dba Pierre's Automotive, for $280,000. In another transaction, Dean Willmore and Art Farmanali represented both parties in JPET II's purchase of a 36,510-square-foot building at 4635 Andrews St. in North Las Vegas from HB Properties for $2.3 million.

-- Colliers International's Dan Doherty represented Julie Dillon Trust in its purchase of a 3.5-acre site with three buildings totalling 14,605 square feet at 3825 Losee Road from Komatsu Equipment Co. for $1.9 million. Doherty, Brian Pankratz and Jennifer Kilpatrick represented Lewex in its sale of a 6,274-square-foot office building at 10 Research Lane to Reinhardt/Bongiovanni Family Trust for $445,200. Spencer Pinter, Michael G. DeLew and Greg Pancirov represented Wynn Road East in its 84-month lease of 5,940 square feet at 5470 Wynn Road, Suite 500, to Ameriban for $317,592. In another transaction, Pinter, DeLew and Pancirov represented Magnum Corporate Center in its sale of 20,974 square feet at 7470 Commercial Way, Building 1, in Henderson to Monument Construction for $1.9 million. Pinter, DeLew and Pancirov also represented Gibson Business Plaza in its sale of 13,140 square feet at 141 N. Gibson Road, Building 2, in Henderson to New Bremen Investments for $1 million. Dave Frear represented DCSI in its 37-month lease of 6000 S. Eastern Ave., Suite 2E, from Harsch Investment Properties, represented by Kelley Cook, for $127,318. Tom Stilley, Lizz Schafer and Jayne Cayton represented The Howard Hughes Corp. in the following lease transactions at 3993 Howard Hughes Parkway: 120 months for 12,944 square feet to CB Richard Ellis for $4 million; 62 months for 4,577 square feet to Fisher and Phillips for $722,525; and 60 months for 3,762 square feet to Pacific Properties for $521,300. Stilley, Schafer and Cayton also represented Siena Office Park in its 74-month lease of 19,169 square feet at 871 Coronado Center Drive, in Henderson to Prudential Americana Group Realtors for $2.8 million.
