COLUMN: ACHIEVERS



-- Sun City Anthem sales agents Carole Newberry and Yvonne Mardian received a Diamond Award and $10,000 from developer Del Webb in recognition of their sales successes. Newberry and Mardian sold 31.5 net new homes at Sun City Anthem in fourth-quarter 2002. Newberry has been a sales agent at Sun City Anthem for eight years; Mardian has been with the company for seven.

-- Grubb & Ellis announced several personnel changes. Michael R. Kammerling was promoted from senior advisor, retail advisory services to senior vice president, retail advisory services; David R. Scherer was promoted from senior advisor, office and industrial advisory services to senior vice president, office advisory services; and Jeff Pori and David Stubbs both were named vice president, investment advisory services.

-- Donna L. Wiesberg has been appointed assistant controller for American Nevada Co. She oversees cash management for the company's real estate holdings. Wiesberg previously held positions with Accountants Inc. and 21st Century Financial.

-- The Las Vegas chapter of the Institute of Real Estate Management designated Kenneth W. Fong as the 2002 Certified Property Manager of the Year. Fong is partner-manager of Fong and Associates, which owns and manages shopping centers and office properties.
