Sun City Aliante homeowners exercise to promote good health

With New Year's resolutions in place, Sun City Aliante resident and exercise instructor Cedra Reskovac has a packed house. She has been teaching classes from the living room of her North Las Vegas home since moving in last year.

"My classes are not based on random exercises," Reskovac said. "Tufts University published eight basic exercises for senior women, and this is specifically what I teach."

Her class size increased from 12 women to 20 in one month.

"We meet three times per week. Consistency is the key. My goal is to have a big enough following to get a dedicated room at the recreation center when it opens," Reskovac said.

In addition to the recreation center, planned amenities include tennis and bocce courts, a swimming pool, fitness center, and club and hobby rooms.

"My husband and I have spent our lives traveling and when we found our ideal floor plan at Sun City Aliante, we purchased the home without even seeing the home site. Del Webb's reputation is so good and these homes are in high demand," Reskovac said. "The customer service department at Del Webb has also exceeded our expectations. All in all, this has been a very positive experience."

The Reskovacs purchased the 1,239-square-foot Sage model, which has three bedrooms, two baths, living and dining rooms, and a covered patio.

Seven single-story designs ranging from 1,155 to 2,105 square feet are available. They are priced from $236,800 to $338,300.

All homes have energy-saving features including low-e windows and cocoon insulation, as well as improved thermal systems and high SEER-rated equipment. They feature the builder's Environments for Living technology and offer a heating and cooling energy-use guarantee.

A new phase of homes is scheduled to be released Jan. 29 and will increase in price.

Sun City Aliante is the age-qualified component of the Aliante master-planned community in North Las Vegas, and is built around an 18-hole, par-72 public golf course.

To visit, take U.S. Highway 95 to Interstate 215, exit east to Sky Pointe Drive and turn right. Proceed to Frontage Road and turn right, then turn left onto the interstate, exit at Aliante Parkway and go north. Models are open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.

Del Webb, a subsidiary of Pulte Homes, also offers Sun City Anthem, Solera at Anthem and Anthem Country Club.
