Sales manager buys unit for mother at downtown mid-rise residential project
SPECIAL TO REAL ESTATE
As the sales manager for Juhl, a downtown Las Vegas mid-rise residential development, John Eisele meets his share of enthusiastic prospective homeowners. From the moment he saw the plans for CityMark Development's upscale residences, however, he personally became excited about making it home for his most favorite client of all: Patricia Shanahan, his mom.
"My mom is a very active senior in her mid-70s," he said. "She currently lives in a suburb of New York, but it's been her longtime dream to retire in Las Vegas and live closer to me. Everything about Juhl made it a perfect fit: the courtyard, the ground floor retail shopping, the nearby entertainment and the walkability of the entire area. She's thrilled with all of the amenities and can't wait for it to be completed."

While she lives in a suburban location, Shanahan spent her 20s living in New York City and looks forward to returning to an urban lifestyle.
Eisele purchased a 600-square foot studio on the sixth floor for his mother. The unit's location will allow her easy access to the adjacent pool area.
"As a sales studio manager for Juhl, I find this whole experience gratifying on a lot of levels," Eisele said.
"Because I'm familiar with all of the developments in the area, and I have the opportunity to interact with people who have shopped around quite a bit prior to purchasing here, I can honestly say Juhl offers the best style of living for the money. It's an incredible value proposition because it encompasses spectacular homes, wonderful amenities and a great location on the forefront of the downtown renaissance.
"I think it's an ideal place for people of all ages to live who thrive on the high-energy excitement of downtown living."
Located at Bonneville Avenue and Fourth Street, the property is designed to be within walking distance of boutiques, galleries, fine dining and night life. The design features lots of glass and lighting, providing curb appeal.
The project includes a 15-story tower and several attached six-story structures.
Floor plans include studios, one- and two-bedroom lofts, townhome-style units and penthouses. More than 100 customizable floor-plan variations are planned, ranging from 600 to 2,200 square feet.
Units include 10-foot ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows, exposed concrete and mechanicals, island kitchens with breakfast bars, granite slab counter tops, European maple cabinetry with concealed hinges, stainless-steel dual sinks with upgraded chrome fixtures, and stainless-steel appliances.
Common areas include a two-story fitness center overlooking a swimming pool, cabanas and spas, located on the landscaped rooftop courtyard. Covered gated parking, privately owned shopkeeper units, and 9,000 square feet of retail space are also part of the design.
To visit the information studio, take Interstate 15 to Charleston Boulevard and exit east. Go north on Grand Central Parkway, drive east on Bonneville and watch for the studio at 255 E. Bonneville Ave. The information studio is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily except Mondays, when it opens at noon.
