Promontory custom sites near sellout
A few custom-home sites remain at the Promontory neighborhood within Summerlin's The Ridges village, according to Dan Van Epp, president of The Howard Hughes Corp., developer of the master-planned community. The Ridges is a luxury golf course community at the western end of Desert Inn Road, adjacent to Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area. Promontory, the first custom-home neighborhood within the village, consists of 54 half-acre home sites. Eight lots remain, priced from the high $300,000s to nearly $1 million. "As the first custom community within The Ridges village, Promontory has redefined casual desert elegance in Las Vegas," Van Epp said. He said lots offer city, mountain and golf course views. The village includes a mix of custom- and luxury-home neighborhoods with the Bear's Best Las Vegas golf course as a centerpiece. Access is provided by a landscaped parkway that is guard-gated. Planned amenities include a private fitness center and 3-acre park. Van Epp said the community's theme of sophisticated yet casual desert living is reinforced through site planning, horizontal architecture and use of colors that blend with the environment, and complementary landscaping. "Promontory is the choice of some of the community's most successful local real estate professionals, including architects, home builders and brokers," Van Epp said. "Their belief that Promontory is the ideal dream home setting speaks volumes." Summerlin, which has been ranked as the nation's best-selling master-planned community for nine of the past 10 years, is being developed in villages along the western valley. The community is home to eight golf courses, more than 100 neighborhood and village parks, 105 completed miles of trails, 17 schools, houses of worship, shopping centers, medical facilities, cultural facilities, business parks, and nearly 165 model homes. Single-family homes, townhomes and condominiums are priced from the mid-$100,000s to more than $700,000. Custom-home sites measuring from one-half acre to three-quarters of an acre are priced from the $400,000s to more than $1 million, and predesigned custom homes are priced from $500,000 to more than $1 million. Apartments offer monthly rents starting from the high $700s. To visit the community's custom-home site sales center, travel west on Desert Inn Road until it ends in The Ridges village, then turn left. The building is on the right. Hours are from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
