Aliante's amenities delight buyer
When Christopher Ashbrook began looking for a new home in Southern Nevada, he concentrated his search in the northern valley. He found the home and lifestyle he wanted in the Aliante master-planned community in North Las Vegas. "At first, I was just looking for a nice home in a nice area -- not necessarily in a master-planned community," he said. "Then, when I found Aliante, I immediately liked the design of the community and the whole master-planned concept. I enjoy outdoor activities, and the recreational amenities inside this community are outstanding. Tennis courts, volleyball courts, trails and so many other recreational facilities are right here. Additionally, I will have a community swimming pool inside my own neighborhood." Ashbrook purchased a home in D.R. Horton's The Courts. "I like the home I chose for many reasons, including the open floor plan, the creative use of space and the convenient lifestyle this neighborhood offers. The gated entry enhances privacy for homeowners, there are minimal maintenance responsibilities and the on-site recreational facilities are very impressive," he said. "Along with a great home, I feel like I am getting a great lifestyle and location to go with it." The 1,905-acre community is a development of North Valley Enterprises, an affiliate of American Nevada Co. and Del Webb Corp. It features primary and age-qualified villages, which will have as many as 7,500 homes. D.R. Horton, KB Home, Pardee Homes and Pulte Homes are building homes in the primary village, while Del Webb is developing the age-qualified Sun City Aliante. Homes are priced from the $150,000s to the low $400,000s. About one-fourth of the community is designated for recreational and public purposes including a municipal golf course, three city parks, linear parks, trails, an arroyo, schools and a fire station. In addition, about 100 acres of commercial development is planned. To visit, take U.S. Highway 95 to Interstate 215, exit east to Sky Pointe Drive and turn right. Proceed to Frontage Road and turn right, then turn left onto the interstate, exit at Aliante Parkway and go south. An information center is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
