Renaissance celebrates success

Renaissance Pools & Spas had a lot to celebrate in 2003, including record sales of more than 390 swimming pools and spas and the opening of its third showroom in the valley, located on Blue Diamond Road, about one mile east of Rainbow Boulevard.

To celebrate the banner year, company President Jim Alexander treated more than 20 employees and their families to a seven-day Caribbean cruise in late December. The cruise was highlighted by an awards ceremony and entertainment provided by magician Tim Noonan, who is also a customer.

"We've had a wonderful year and look forward to even more exciting growth in 2004," Alexander said. "I felt that this cruise would be a perfect way to show our appreciation for our employees' dedication to our company and, most importantly, to the satisfaction of our customers."

The company is the exclusive Southern Nevada dealer of in-ground, ceramic-epoxy pools built by Viking Pools. In 2003, Viking recognized it for having the most sales and highest customer-satisfaction record in the nation.

Alexander said 2004 will be another "year on the move" for Renaissance. Its new 10,000-square-foot showroom already has 30 pools on display, and construction of display models, including three new designs, is planned.

The pools come in a range of shapes, sizes, colors and finishes. Prices for installed pools range from the $19,000s to the high $30,000s, and financing is available. Buyers who handle their own installation receive a 40 percent discount. Each comes with a lifetime warranty.

"Our goal for this year is to have at least 300 pools and spas in stock at all times," Alexander said. "This will enable us to consistently offer the best possible selection of styles and colors, while keeping our installation time to a minimum."

Alexander said he hopes to open a fourth location this year and has set a goal to ultimately be able to install 1,000 pools and spas per year valleywide.

Showrooms are also located at 1245 N. Boulder Highway, about one-half mile south of Sunset Road in Henderson; and at 2180 W. Craig Road, just west of Interstate 15 in North Las Vegas.
