The Mesa, in the southernmost region of Summerlin, is south of Tropicana Avenue and west of Hualapai Way.
Village and neighborhood entry monuments are marked with stonework and back-lit metal signs. Streets are lined with desert trees and flowering bushes.
According to Julie Cleaver, director of design and planning for The Howard Hughes Corp., the developer of Summerlin, The Mesa Village is a great location for home buyers given its abundant neighborhood amenities, which include the nearby Spring Mountain Range and close proximity to the 215 Beltway.
"The Mesa is an ideal location for home buyers who appreciate the best of suburbia with the stunningly beautiful scenery provided by Mother Nature," she said.
A large 19-acre park is in the early phases of development with plans to feature tennis courts, three Little League baseball fields (one with stadium-style seating), a basketball court, tot lot, large open/play area and covered picnic ramadas.
In addition, Summerlin's newest private school, Bishop Gorman High School, is also located in The Mesa Village and is scheduled to open its 187,000-square-foot campus by mid-2007.
Developed by Howard Hughes, an affiliate of General Growth Properties Inc., Summerlin began to take shape in 1990.
