    Perma-Bilt Homes' tribute to fallen law enforcement officers is a reality. The builder designated 15 streets within its Shadow Hills community to be named for Southern Nevada officers killed in the line of duty since 1905, and now those streets' signs are being installed.

    Looking to build a greener valley

    Explaining American Nevada Corp.'s latest and last project within Green Valley, company President John Kilduff said the venerable master-planned community now has the "critical mass" and "rooftops" it needs for its coup de gr‰ce.

    "Rooftops" may be a bit of an understatement in referring to the tens of thousands of homes that have been built in the community over more than two decades, but the reference clearly shows the new development emphasis at American Nevada -- commercial projects.
