KB Home hosts drive to support Safe Nest
KB Home will participate in the Feathering the Nest clothing drive which kicks off Wednesday to benefit Safe Nest, a local domestic violence shelter and counseling center. The builder will collect winter clothing, coats and bedding to support the shelter's expansion, which is expected to be completed in mid-April. "With the expansion of our shelter, our need for blankets, bedding, and warm winter clothing will increase dramatically," Safe Nest spokesperson Lisa Lynn Chapman said. "We are adding 32 new beds which we expect to be full soon after completion." Sales offices at Iron Mountain Ranch near Ann Road and Jones Boulevard, Goldrush near Cheyenne Avenue and Durango Drive, Hillsborough near Charleston and Nellis boulevards, Bella Terra near Interstate 15 and Blue Diamond Road, and Black Mountain Vistas near Lake Mead Drive and Gibson Road will participate in the drive. Each office will be open between Jan. 9-27 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily except Friday, when they open at 11 a.m. Receipts will be available to donators for tax purposes.
