Families find togetherness within William Lyon's Kingwood Crossing
SPECIAL TO REAL ESTATE
Helena Lowe found William Lyon Homes' Kingwood Crossing during an Internet search from her home in Washington state.
According to Helena, she immediately decided to purchase and suggested the neighborhood to her daughter and son-in-law, May and Don Acker. They moved into the Summerlin development as well.

May said sharing a neighborhood with her mother is ideal.
"It's not uncommon for us to see each other two or three times a day. It's exactly what we wanted," she said. "William Lyon offers such a variety of floor plans, something for everyone in the same community."
May and Don purchased the single-story, 2,157-square-foot Plan Two with three bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths, a two-car garage and a great room with an open floor plan. The design can be customized to include a den or fourth bedroom at the dining room.
"The layout works well for us," May said, "because the master bedroom is set away from the guest rooms."
Helena purchased the Plan One. The 1,948-square-foot single-story home offers three bedrooms, two baths and a two-car garage, with an option for a den in lieu of bedroom three.
Helena said she didn't need a big home, but enjoys having the extra space when her grandson visits from the San Francisco Bay Area.
"The space is perfect. My master bedroom is even bigger than May's," said Helena, who utilizes the extra bedroom space for her computer workstation. "I like the bedroom and my new home, but I especially like having May and Don so close by."
William Lyon offers single- and two-story designs in Kingwood Crossing, ranging from 1,948 to 2,737 square feet. The homes contain as many as five bedrooms and two- or three-car garages.
