    Pardee Homes has been named America's Best Builder for 2003, topping off a year in which the company celebrated its 50th anniversary in Southern Nevada.

    Sun City Anthem appeals to family

    After Shirley and Herb Alloway retired and moved to Sun City Anthem in Henderson last April, they invited her parents, Edith and Paul Bush, to visit. Immediately impressed by what they saw, the Bushes decided to purchase a home in the Del Webb age-qualified community, too -- right next door.

    The Alloways, who were married in Las Vegas five years ago, moved from Ventura, Calif., where both worked for the county social services department. Herb Alloway was a fiscal officer and Shirley Alloway was manager for the adult services division.
