Aliante appeals to former Californian

Kate Su, who spent about two months looking for a new home, knew instantly that Aliante was where she wanted to live when she visited the North Las Vegas master-planned community.

"Coming from California, I'm familiar with the concept of master-planned living, so I wanted to find a home in a master-planned community," said the former resident of Irvine. "Initially, I was somewhat discouraged by the high prices of the homes I saw in other master plans. Then, when I finally came to Aliante, I knew instantly that this was the perfect community for me. The amenities are outstanding, the selection of homes is excellent and the prices are competitive. My parents were with me on my first visit to Aliante and it reminded us of our former community in Southern California. We just fell in love with it," Su said.

She chose an 1890 model at Pulte Homes' Vialetto neighborhood.

"I love the spacious, two-story design of my home. The living areas and bedrooms are very spacious and the high ceilings give the home lots of volume and drama. Interestingly, it also reminds all of us of our family home in California." she said.

"I'm thrilled with my decision to buy a home in Aliante. It's a community that has so much to offer for homeowners of all ages. I play tennis and have started to learn golf, so I love having tennis courts and a golf course right in my own community," she said. "My parents enjoy walking, so the trail system is a great feature for them."

Developed by North Valley Enterprises, an affiliate of American Nevada Co. and Del Webb Corp., Aliante encompasses 1,905 acres and features a main and age-qualified village. It is expected to have about 20,000 residents.

Homes are priced from the $150,000s to the low $400,000s.

Nearly one-fourth of the community is designated for recreational and public uses.

An information center is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. To visit, take U.S. Highway 95 to Interstate 215, exit east to Sky Pointe Drive and turn right. Go to Frontage Road and turn right, then turn left onto the interstate, exit at Aliante Parkway and go south.
