Christopher Homes' neighborhoods within the guard-gated Southern Highlands Golf Club have attracted luxury-home buyers from both inside and outside Southern Nevada, according to the builder.

"For many prospective home buyers from Southern California, Southern Highlands is the first master-planned community they see when they drive into Las Vegas," sales agent Teresa Tebbs said. "Upon becoming familiar with this community, they love the elegant, guard-gated country club environment and the incredible selection of residential designs and customizing opportunities we offer."

Tebbs said each buyer at The Villas, The Christopher Collection and The Enclave receives a club membership, upon application approval.

The private course is anchored by a clubhouse that offers formal and informal dining, a library, wine room, locker rooms and a pro shop. In addition, a spa provides private treatment rooms, men's and women's lounges with private steam rooms, vitality pools and relaxation areas. Other amenities include fitness and cardiovascular centers, a group exercise and yoga studio, lighted tennis courts, a swimming pool, outdoor hot tub, children's pool and play area.

"Our homeowners have the luxury of a 24-hour guarded entrance, roving security, a championship golf course and a luxurious health spa all just a short distance from their doorsteps," Tebbs said.

All three neighborhoods offer lots with city, mountain and golf course views.

The Villas has eight floor plans available, ranging from 1,983 to 3,400 square feet and priced from the low $400,000s to the mid-$800,000s. Select single-story designs can be expanded to two stories, while the two-story plan can be expanded to three stories. All front-yard landscaping is handled through the association.

Tebbs said two residences are under construction at The Villas and scheduled to be ready within 30 days.

"We expect these homes to sell very quickly," she said. "They are both our popular two-story Britto designs featuring three bedrooms, plus a detached casita with a full bath. The appointments include granite counter tops, stone flooring in selected areas, front and center courtyards, courtyard fireplaces, and lots of French doors."

Both of the 3,181-square-foot homes are on cul-de-sacs.

The Christopher Collection features 13 single- and two-story designs, ranging from 3,072 to 6,200 square feet and priced from the low $500,000s to more than $1 million. Home sites average one-quarter acre.

At the on-site design center, buyers can consider options such as elevators, motor courts, casitas, detached guest quarters, major room additions, four-car garages, extra baths, bonus rooms, libraries, wine cellars and wet bars.

"We can help them create the home of their dreams at a fraction of the cost and time that would be involved in building a custom home," Tebbs said.

The Enclave is a gated neighborhood of 18 custom homes. The lots measure from about one-third acre to three-quarters of an acre. The residences, including the lots, will be valued from about $2 million to more than $7.5 million.

To visit, take Interstate 15 south to the Henderson/Lake Mead exit, head west and follow the signs.
