Businesses augment Summerlin
In addition to more than 80,000 residents, the Summerlin master-planned community is home to six office parks. "Summerlin is a thriving business community, home to scores of companies representing various industries," said Larry Brocato, executive vice president for the community's developer, The Howard Hughes Corp. "The diversity of office product, accompanied by Summerlin's abundant amenities and close proximity to residential development, make it an attractive location for businesses." The community's three largest office parks are The Crossing Business Center, Corporate Pointe at Summerlin Centre and Hills Center Business Park. Summerlin's first office park, The Crossing Business Center, encompasses 110 acres and will have 1.2 million square feet of office space upon completion. The 54-acre Corporate Pointe at Summerlin Centre will be home to nearly 570,000 square feet of office space. Hills Center Business Park is a 22 1/2-acre office park that will have 250,000 square feet of owner-occupied office space. Mark L. Fine & Associates, a Las Vegas-based company specializing in high-end office parks and retail, is developing the project. "Every office park in Summerlin is master-planned to complement the aesthetics of the community and to support the increasing property value. Building designs, color schemes, landscaping and signage are controlled and consistent throughout the projects to ensure quality. This has contributed to Summerlin's success in attracting business owners to the area," Brocato said. Additional office parks are Howard Hughes Plaza in Summerlin Centre, Canyons Center at Summerlin in The Canyons village, and The Plaza at Summerlin in The Hills South village. The community is being developed in villages. It is home to golf courses, parks, schools, medical facilities and cultural facilities. Nearly 120 models showcase the available single-family homes, townhomes and condominiums, which are priced from the low $200,000s to more than $700,000. Custom-home sites in The Ridges are priced from the high $500,000s to more than $1 million, and predesigned custom homes are priced from $2.1 million. Apartments offer monthly rents starting from the low $800s. For more information, visit www.reviewjournal.com/real estate and click on the Summerlin link.
