Former California residents choose home by Christopher
One visit to Christopher Homes' Palisades neighborhood was all it took to impress George and Melina Babamirza, who were looking for a new home in which to raise their children. The Babamirzas, formerly of Los Gatos, Calif., could not be happier with their choice. "After walking through the models, we were very impressed with the quality in all of the homes," Melina Babamirza said. "But when we entered the Picasso model, we knew we had found our absolute favorite. It's a very elegant, yet livable home that is perfect for entertaining, as well as day-to-day family living. We were impressed by the included features, as well as all of the available opportunities to make customizing changes to the home." The couple chose an 11,200-square-foot lot on a cul-de-sac. "We have two children, ages 11 and 2 1/2, so we wanted a relatively quiet street with little traffic," George Babamirza said. "We also liked the fact that Palisades is in the heart of Summerlin. When we first arrived, we came directly to Summerlin and we thought this was what all of Las Vegas looked like. After looking at other areas of the valley, we realized that the beautiful streets, green belts, parks and walking trails are unique to a master-planned community like Summerlin. Since moving in, we love it here." The guard-gated neighborhood is in its final phase of sales, with 22 of 131 homes remaining. Five single- and two-story floor plans are available, ranging from 3,758 to more than 6,200 square feet. Prices start from $446,900. Home sites measure from one-quarter acre to one-half acre. Buyers can consult with an architectural designer as well as interior designers who will assist in the selection of options, which include elevators, courtyard fireplaces, wine cellars, casitas, extra bedrooms and baths, and libraries. The neighborhood aligns the TPC at The Canyons golf course. To visit, take Summerlin Parkway to Town Center Drive, go south to Hualapai Way and follow the signs. Office hours are from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
