Copperfield hosts Mardis Gras event
U.S. Home is hosting a Mardis Gras celebration from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. today at its Copperfield neighborhood in the northwestern valley. Festivities include a radio remote from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., king cakes, refreshments, prizes and gifts. The neighborhood, located just north of Ann Road at Jones Boulevard and Azure Drive, is also including two upgrades with home purchases for a limited time -- a spa tub and garage built-ins. The free upgrades are available at all U.S. Home neighborhoods. Featuring home sites that measure from 70X105 feet to one-third acre, the neighborhood offers two community parks and nine floor plans priced from the $180,000s in two home series. Standard features in the Laureate Series include granite kitchen counter tops, oak cabinetry, two-tone exterior paint, oak railings and baseboards, tile accents in baths and showers, and ceramic-tile entries. Three single-story designs are offered, ranging from 2,550 to more than 3,070 square feet, each with volume or vaulted ceilings, owner suites, and various room options that can create a home office, media room, exercise room or hobby area. Six two-story plans are offered, ranging from 2,567 to 4,500 square feet. The kitchens feature sealed gas cook top burners, pantries, porcelain sinks, dining nooks, breakfast bars, and islands. They adjoin family room areas, which have art and media niches, pot shelves, archways, and alcoves. Homes modeled include: the single-story, 2,594-square-foot Cherryhill II, priced from $198,990; the two-story Sausalito with 2,786 square feet, priced from $209,990; and the 3,864-square-foot, two-story Pacific Heights with a portico entry, priced from $215,990. Also available is the single-story, 2,550-square-foot Brentwood with four bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths, an owner suite, formal living and dining rooms, family room, covered patio, and three-car garage. With design options, the San Clemente model ranges from 3,880 to 4,500 square feet and features a great room, island kitchen with dining nook and walk-in pantry, 19-foot ceilings, and a family room with a fireplace and media niche. The owner suite has two walk-in closets, dual vanities, a separate shower and tub, and an optional fireplace. Options include a first-floor bedroom with a bath or a study; a loft; as many as seven bedrooms; and a veranda. The sales office is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. except Monday, when it opens at 11 a.m. The builder is also developing Torrey Pines Ranch in the northwestern valley. The neighborhood offers one-half acre, cul-de-sac home sites with space for RV and boat parking, and nine floor plans, including five single-story designs ranging from 3,182 to about 4,000 square feet. Prices range from the mid-$200,000s to the low $300,000s. Additional neighborhoods include: Carriage Hills, a gated neighborhood priced from the mid-$200,000s in Henderson; Palazzo Monte, with homes in presales, measuring up to 4,500 square feet and priced from the high $200,000s; and Stillwater Canyon in the southwest.
