Lennar plans entertainment for Arroyo Canyon opening

Weekend festivities at neighborhood to include giveaways, refreshments

Lennar Design Studio Homes celebrates the grand opening of its Arroyo Canyon neighborhood this weekend with festivities that include live entertainment tomorrow from 2 to 4 p.m., as well as giveaways and refreshments. In addition to the debut of the model homes, visitors may also preview homes ready for immediate move-ins, some of which offer incentives, according to Thomas Isbell, an executive with the company.

"We are premiering these gorgeous new home designs here at Arroyo Canyon for the first time," Isbell said. "These are extraordinary two-story luxury homes nestled in a breathtaking hillside setting. Experience the sweeping vistas, our elevated sites, the elegant custom ironwork entry gates and lovely community park."

The northwest Las Vegas neighborhood features 63 homes, all of which are built to Energy Star standards. Palm trees line the entrance and exterior walls of the development are adorned with decorative boulders on both sides.

"The boulders are also used on elevated lots, serving as retaining walls and dramatic accents throughout the community," Isbell said. "The community really is one with its environment. Other natural rocks and formations were used to create a very natural setting."

The five new designs are all two-story plans, ranging from 3,265 to 5,240 square feet with four bedrooms, 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 baths, and three-car tandem garages. All feature a great-room layout, country kitchens and formal dining rooms. Master suites come with walk-in wardrobes, baths with dual sinks, 6-foot spa tubs and separate showers. Outside, the homes feature paver stone driveways and walkways.

In addition, the homes are wired for electronics such as entertainment and security systems.

The builder offers a selection of professionally coordinated interior design collections that include two-tone paint for walls, 42-inch cabinetry in cherry and maple with crown molding, granite counter tops and upgraded appliances.

Prices start from the high $500,000s.

To visit, take U.S. Highway 95 to the Las Vegas Beltway (Interstate 215) West exit. Take the Beltway west to Hualapai Way, go north to Deer Springs Road, then head east.

The sales office is open from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily except Mondays, when it opens at noon.
