Mountain Falls master plan sports Mediterranean look

John Schuller, a member of the Mountain Falls Design Review Committee, said the Pahrump master-planned community's Mediterranean theme is appealing.

The William Lyon Home, golf-course community features architectural styles such as Tuscan farmhouse, rural and formal Mediterranean, Spanish-mission and French Provencal.

"Our design guidelines allow builders to utilize a number of materials in an authentic manner," Schuller said. "For example, each architectural style has a stone type associated with it. The styles also have their own authentic color schemes. They all tie into the Mediterranean theme. It creates a seamless community, rather than a community with a random mixture of home styles."

Old World-inspired elements like Roman arches, loggias and courtyards are evident throughout the single-story neighborhoods of Cascata Ancora, Tramonto and Bella Sera at Mountain Falls.

William Lyon Homes is selling three neighborhoods -- Cascata Ancora, Tramonto and Bella Sera. The models offer 11 floor plans ranging from 1,429 to 2,897 square feet, priced from the low $200,000s.

Classic Homes, Desert Wind Homes and Celebrate Homes will offer homes later this year, according to the builder.

Mountain Falls Golf Club anchors the master-planned community. A community resident facility and adjacent clubhouse also reflect the Mediterranean look.

The clubhouse includes a fitness center, locker rooms, multi-purpose room and resident lounge with a pool table. Outdoors, residents have use of two pools, spa and interactive water-play area.

The Mountain Falls Grill Room is adjacent to the clubhouse and open to the public.

Upon completion, Mountain Falls will feature dozens of neighborhood parks and a 4-mile walking trail.

Homeowner association fees are less than $50 per month.

To visit, travel 45 miles west on Highway 160, Blue Diamond Road, past Interstate 15. Before reaching Pahrump, turn left on Manse Road. Proceed to Hafen Ranch and turn right, then left on Lakeview.

The sales office is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, mountainfalls.com or call 866-468-3255.
