Ardiente home provides numerous amenities for couple

Buyers extend praise for clubhouse within Centex development

Anton and Regina Spanier lived in the northeast valley for 14 years in a home they'd had custom built, until their recent move to a new Centex home in Ardiente, in the valley's north.

"We love Ardiente because of the gated security, the quietness of the neighborhood, and the clubhouse which is awesome," Regina said. "The clubhouse has everything -- fitness equipment, pool tables, a kitchen area, two pools, Jacuzzi, putting green, bocce courts, tennis courts, basketball courts, computer area, lots of classes and activities, literally everything we need."

Among the many amenities in the couple's Centex home, Regina finds it difficult to pick a favorite feature.

"The master suite has a really gorgeous bathroom," Regina said. "The upstairs loft is beautiful. We get a lot of compliments about our kitchen because of how big and open and accessible it is and all the great appliances. It has enough room for more than one person to be in there working at a time, and the granite countertops are gorgeous. They even let us pick out our own slab."

The couple was appreciative of the treatment from the builder's staff as well as the design of its homes.

"Whenever we asked for help or had questions, they were always polite and nice and treated our concerns with respect," Regina said.

"Roger, our Centex sales executive, led us through the model homes and was very patient with all our questions. Patricia and the people at the Design Studio were great, too -- even when we made some last-minute changes right before we did our walk-through. We thought it was too late but they really went the extra mile and managed to make the changes for us."

The builder handled the couple's home transaction, including mortgage, title and insurance, through CTX Mortgage.

"We took care of everything right there, and we didn't have to run around and sign papers all over town. CTX Mortgage had everything ready, and they actually contacted us when it was time to close. They let my husband sign all the papers because I was at work, which really made it convenient."

The Ardiente development is age-qualified, guard-gated and staffed by trained personnel 24 hours a day.

The 13,000-square-foot Ardiente Clubhouse, features two heated swimming pools, fitness center, group exercise room, billiards and multi-purpose room.

The grounds include tennis and bocce courts, and open green areas including a putting green.

An on-site activities director organizes gatherings such as walking groups, community outings, yoga classes and bridge clubs.

The community offers six themed parks, each landscaped with its own horticultural theme. A system of walking trails lead from one park to the next with exercise stations along the way and pet-friendly amenities.

The community's eight home designs are priced from $250,000 and offer 1,235 to 2,813 square feet, with up to four bedrooms and three baths. Floor plans include great-room layouts, dens, front porches, rear patios, breakfast nooks, island kitchens, courtyard entries, fireplaces, matching baths and owner's suites.

To visit, take Interstate 215, the Las Vegas Beltway to Losee Road, go south and turn left on Tropical Parkway. Turn left on Ann Road and right on Walnut Road. Make a right on Horizon Estates Drive to the clubhouse. The sales center is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.

Centex Homes' Las Vegas Division has pledged to donate $125 to Nevada State College for each home that closes through July 2007.

Buyers can receive $5,000 off closing costs through CTX Mortgage, according to the builder.

In addition to CTX Mortgage, Commerce Title provides title and escrow service, while Centex Insurance Agency covers home, auto and business insurance needs. The builder's design studio provides new home design selections.

The Dallas-based company was founded in 1950. It operates in 25 states and delivered more than 33,000 homes in its most recent fiscal year.

Leading brands include Centex Homes, Fox & Jacobs Homes, CityHomes and Centex Destination Properties.
