KB Home gears up for NASCAR

SPECIAL TO REAL ESTATE

KB Home is gearing up for NASCAR week in Las Vegas with festivities at San Destin, a subdivision comprised of three series of homes and 17 floor plans. San Destin is located within the new Aliante master-planned community in North Las Vegas.

Starting today, buyers who complete a new-home purchase agreement by Friday can take advantage of pre-model pricing and receive $1,000 towards options and upgrades at the KB Home Studio. Visitors also can pick up free tickets to the "KB Home Showdown," NASCAR week's kick-off race on Thursday. Local race-car driver Mike Cofer -- with his car -- will be at San Destin from noon to 3 p.m. today to sign autographs.

All three series -- Ravello, Tivoli and Palazzo -- are comprised of single- and two-story floor plans.

Buyers can choose from five floor plans in the Ravello series, measuring from 1,231 to 1,947 square feet. Homes provide two to four bedrooms, two or 2 1/2 baths and two-car garages. Prices start from the low $140,000s.

Six floor plans are featured in the Tivoli series, and range from 1,717 to 2,546 square feet. Features include three to five bedrooms, two to three baths, and two-car garages. Homes are priced from the low $170,000s.

The Palazzo series offers six designs, measuring from 2,022 to 3,803 square feet with three to six bedrooms, two to four baths, and three-car garages. Prices start from the low $200,000s.

To visit San Destin from Interstate 15 north, take Interstate 215 west to Simmons Street, head south to Deer Springs Way and turn left. Or, take U.S. Highway 95 to Ann Road, head east to Simmons Street and go north, past Centennial Parkway. Sales office hours are from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily except Friday, when it opens at 11 a.m.

"Aliante is expected to be a fast-growing, family-oriented community ... Home shoppers will be impressed with the master plan and the variety of homes KB Home is offering," Leah Bryant, president of KB Home's Las Vegas Division, said.

Aliante is planned to include a 20-acre archeaological-themed park with an amphitheater, picnic areas, soccer fields, and tennis and volleyball courts. In addition, there will be a trail system and a municipal golf course. Two public elementary schools and a middle school are planned, as is a fire station and library. A shopping center and office parks have been proposed.

The builder's Homebuyers Club offers credit reports, a review of potential buyers' financial situations and credit counseling, if needed. Through the Home Finding Center, buyers can find their ideal home in the builder's more than 20 neighborhoods valleywide.
