Family impressed by Silverstone Ranch
From its energy-efficient homes to its recreational amenities, Pulte Homes' Silverstone Ranch has impressed Tammy and George Nixon. The Nixons moved into the northwestern valley community with their three children, Brandi, Monique and Atreau, two months ago. "The walking paths, the mountains, our home's value and the responsive customer service team are all reasons why we love our Silverstone Ranch home. This is our first Pulte home. We chose the 1,700-square-foot plan because its openness allows everyone to enjoy our family time together," Tammy Nixon said. The two-story plan from the Merion Collection has three bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths, a great room adjacent to the kitchen, and a two-car garage. It is priced at $385,990. Two additional plans are featured in the collection. The 1583 plan starts at $364,990, while the 1890 design starts at $387,990. Four additional collections are offered. Single- and two-story homes range from 1,520 to 3,448 square feet and are priced from the $350,000s to the $560,000s. The newest collection, Pinehurst, will feature townhomes ranging from 1,346 to 2,016 square feet. Presales are under way, with prices beginning at $309,990. It is scheduled to open Feb. 28. All homes exceed the Environmental Protection Agency's Energy Star requirements and are at least 30 percent more energy efficient than homes built to standard code. In addition, they feature the builder's Environments for Living technology and offer a three-year heating and cooling energy-use guarantee. "One of our favorite features is the balanced ventilation system that provides fresh air into the house," Tammy Nixon said. The community is built around the fairways of Silverstone Golf Club, a 27-hole championship course. It is complemented by a clubhouse with dining facilities. Additional amenities include parks, basketball and tennis courts, playgrounds and arbors. One neighborhood will have a guard-gated entry, while the townhome development will have a social center. To visit, take U.S. Highway 95 to Durango Drive, head east to Grand Teton Drive and turn right. Proceed to Buffalo Drive, turn left and follow the signs. The sales office is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily except Monday, when it opens at noon.
