Pulte, Del Webb aid those in crisis, need
Pulte Homes employees recently gathered hundreds of items to help families and individuals in crisis through the Greater Las Vegas Association of Realtors' first "Heart To Heart" drive. The event benefited the Shade Tree shelter, Safe Nest and HELP of Southern Nevada. Pulte and Del Webb employees collected more than 350 items such as toiletries, household and office supplies, baby items and bus tokens, which were delivered to the association's office before Valentine's Day. "When Pulte Homes learned about the drive, we placed collection boxes throughout our administrative offices and Del Webb communities while encouraging all of our employees to participate," Sue Streeter, Realtor relations coordinator, said. "We thought this would be a great way to help our Realtor partners in their effort to assist those in need in our community." The builder offers 18 new-home subdivisions in Southern Nevada, including Silverstone Ranch and Wyeth Ranch in the northwestern valley; Serenata and Vialetto in the Aliante master-planned community in North Las Vegas; Paradiso, Hillstone, Miramonte and Escala in Summerlin; and Anthem Highlands in the Anthem master plan in Henderson. All homes offered by the builder have earned the Environmental Protection Agency's Energy Star label for being at least 30 percent more energy efficient than federal standards require. In addition, they feature the builder's Environments for Living technology and offer a three-year heating and cooling energy-use guarantee. The Bloomfield Hills, Mich.-based builder operates in more than 40 markets nationwide. Its Del Webb brand is a leading builder of age-qualified communities nationwide. In addition, it operates a mortgage division.
