Four-time Olympic gold medalist and world record holder Janet Evans will sign autographs and take pictures with fans today from noon to 3 p.m. at Villas at Fort Apache, a KB Home neighborhood celebrating its grand opening.
"Janet is a superb athlete who has represented our country admirably," said Don DelGiorno, president of the builder's Las Vegas Division. "This is a great opportunity for families to meet an inspirational woman. Janet proves that people can achieve great things with hard work and dedication."

Evans is recognized as the best female swimmer in the United States. In addition to her Olympic success, she has won 45 national championships, 17 international championships and holds three world records. She is a member of the United States Olympic Committee Hall of Fame and the International Swimming Hall of Fame.
"This weekend we are celebrating the grand opening of our newest community in Las Vegas, the Villas at Fort Apache," DelGiorno said. "We are honored to have Janet here to celebrate with us."
The southwest Las Vegas Valley neighborhood offers four floor plans, two of which are modeled on-site: the Jamestown, a 1,553-square-foot home with three bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths, and the Madison, a 1,712-square-foot home with three bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths and a loft.

To visit, take Interstate 15 to Blue Diamond Road and head west to El Capitan Way, then go south to Meranto Avenue and drive west. Models are open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily except Mondays, when they open at 11 a.m.

KB Home offers one-stop shopping in its design studio at 7440 Dean Martin Drive, Suite 201, just south of Warm Springs Road.
KB Home offers a service called the Homebuyers Club, which helps potential home buyers through free assistance with credit reports, a review of their financial situations and credit counseling. The club is located in the company's offices at 5655 Badura Ave., southwest of the Las Vegas Beltway and Decatur Boulevard.
