Phase 10 under way at Palomino Canyon
US Home has released phase 10 at its Palomino Canyon neighborhood in southwest Las Vegas. The neighborhood has proved popular with buyers since the models opened, according to sales executive Vicki Zoot. "...On the day we first opened the Palomino Canyon models ... we had people standing in line. And the sales have never slowed down. This has been an extraordinary community, even in today's hot market," Zoot said. "It's the kind of pace that has kept our supervisors and on-site builders on the fast track. But with approximately 46 home sites left to complete the community, there is still a wonderful selection of home sites available." Palominio Canyon, in addition to all of the builder's active neighborhoods, is participating in US Home's latest promotion, a limited-time offer for "$10,000 in upgrades for just $1,000" -- for a $1,000 payment, buyers receive a $9,000 credit at the builder's design center. Also, visitors at any of the builder's sales offices can enter the "Name the US Home Puppy" prize drawing for a $2,000 shopping spree at Boulevard Mall. Participants must be at least 21 years old. All offices are open from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily except Monday, when they open at 11 a.m. Palomino Canyon offers four floor plans priced from the $170,000s. Standard features include ceramic-tile flooring at entry, ceramic-tile counter tops, cultured-marble vanities and oak cabinetry. The smallest plan is the single-story Mustang, which measures 1,497 square feet with two bedrooms, a den, two baths and two-car garage. Decorative highlights include window accents, pot shelves, and art and media niches. The owner suite opens to a patio and features a walk-in closet, separate tub and shower, and an enclosed toilet. An owner-suite retreat, fitness room or third bedroom are optional. Also a single-story design is the 1,798-square-foot Appaloosa, which can be built with two to four bedrooms, formal living and dining rooms, and a great room. Options include an extended family room, an owner-suite retreat, extended front porch, den, and built-in desk in the kitchen. The two-story Arabian can be built with three to five bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths in 2,246 square feet. The home's country kitchen features an island workstation, breakfast nook and bay window. The laundry room is upstairs, as is the owner suite with balcony, walk-in closet, and sitting area with bay window. A three-car garage is standard. With 2,659 square feet, the two-story Thoroughbred offers three to five bedrooms, with one bedroom and bath located downstairs and the owner suite and additional bedrooms upstairs. It also features vaulted ceilings, a combined kitchen and family room with bay window, and formal living and dining rooms. To visit, take Interstate 215 to Durango Drive, go south to Arby Avenue and head west. The builder also has homes available at the following neighborhoods: Copperfield, in northwest Las Vegas, offers nine floor plans, ranging from 2,167 to 4,500 square feet and priced from the $190,000s. Steeplechase, also in the northwest, is in presales. This gated neighborhood features floor plans ranging from 2,500 to 4,500 square feet on lots as large as one-half acre. Prices start from the mid-$200,000s. Stillwater Canyon, in the southwest area, offers nine designs measuring from 2,550 to 4,500 square feet. Prices start from the $250,000s. Aberdeen, a gated neighborhood in Southern Highlands in the southwestern valley, is in presales. Prices start from the $260,000s. Palazzo Monte, another gated neighborhood, is in the Seven Hills community in Henderson. Hillside lots are available, and homes are priced from the high $200,000s. A custom residential model built by US Home's Custom Residential Division can be viewed at Paseo Place Estates, which is located on Buffalo Drive, just north of Sahara Avenue.
