Juhl construction keeps pace with revitalization

Construction of Juhl continues to keep pace with the growth of downtown Las Vegas, according to Rich Gustafson, president of CityMark Development, with over 65 percent of its units sold-out and completion slated for spring. Juhl will offer its silhouette to the center of an already changing downtown landscape that includes new shops, restaurants and cultural facilities.

"Residents of Juhl can look forward to embracing the ultimate urban lifestyle, where entertainment and dining options abound," Gustafson said. "The dream of creating a thriving, upscale downtown is happening at this very moment and can be seen in the eclectic boutiques, grand art galleries, fine restaurants and commerce centers that are already in place."

Just blocks from the mid- to high-rise development, the Fremont East District has plans to revitalize six blocks east of Las Vegas Boulevard into a walkable downtown entertainment corridor with new clubs and cocktail lounges, including Downtown and The Griffin, both expected to open in early this year. Local business owners and city officials hope Fremont East will become Las Vegas' version of the Gaslamp Quarter in San Diego or Memphis' Beale Street.

Located at the corner of Bonneville Avenue and 4th Street, Juhl's exterior is being constructed with exposed mechanical and concrete surfaces and will feature a glass enclosed lobby, leading to a series of residential buildings of varying heights and facades.

Residences will range from 600 to 2,200 square feet with warehouse lofts, mid-rise and high-rise lofts, townhouses, flats and penthouses in more than 100 floor plans. Loft units offer 10-foot, floor-to-ceiling windows, private patios or balconies, high-speed Internet access, designer selected Grohe chrome plumbing fixtures, island-kitchens with granite slab counters, maple cabinetry and stainless steel General Electric appliances. Prices begin from the $300,000s.

Additional amenities will include a fully-equipped, two-story fitness center, a landscaped rooftop courtyard with pool and spa; and gated underground parking. The development will offer 24,000 square feet of retail space.

For more information, visit juhl-lv.com or the Information Studio at 255 E. Bonneville Ave. From Interstate 15, exit Charleston Boulevard and head east; turn left on Grand Central Parkway; turn right on Bonneville Avenue. The studio is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, except Monday when it opens at noon.
