within home gallery

Richmond American Homes will host a complimentary culinary event Feb. 24, at its Home Gallery at 7770 S. Dean Martin Drive, Suite 10.
A Sweet Celebration will feature live cooking demonstrations by Chef Michael Jordan, executive chef and owner of Rosemary's Restaurant. Jordan will prepare several of his gourmet recipes, with culinary demonstrations beginning at 11 a.m., 12:30 and 2 p.m.

Visitors can learn culinary techniques while participating in tastings and prize giveaways including GE wine coolers and gift certificates to Rosemary's.
After graduating from the Culinary Institute of America, Jordan traveled extensively, acquiring diverse experience in the culinary arts.
His travels to New Orleans found him working for Emeril Lagasse. The experience with Lagasse brought him to Las Vegas, where he became the executive chef of Emeril's New Orleans Fish House in the MGM Grand.
In May 1999, Jordan and his wife, Chef Wendy Jordan, opened Rosemary's at 8125 W. Sahara Ave, creating French-inspired, American cuisine spiced with down South New Orleans.
The Jordans have been featured on the Food Network, in addition to appearances on ABC, NBC and the Discovery Channel. The restaurant has earned top ZAGAT ratings, including the No. 1 Top Food rating in the 2007 survey for Las Vegas restaurants.
Next Saturday's culinary event with Jordan will benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. The organization is committed to curing blood cancers and improving the quality of life for patients and their families.

The Home Gallery by Richmond American is a 22,000-square-foot retail space offering floor plans, design options and information on the builder's communities.
It opens daily from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., except Saturday when they close at 6 p.m., and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m.
