Realtors support Habitat effort

The Greater Las Vegas Association of Realtors is the exclusive sponsor of a Habitat for Humanity home to be built in North Las Vegas. The association has supported Habitat's local chapter since 1994.

"The (association) has been such a wonderful donor for our Habitat affiliate," Susan Mackert, executive director for Habitat for Humanity Las Vegas, said.

"The cost to sponsor a home is $60,000, and the association raises this money through several fund-raising events. We would not be able to build as many homes without their help."

Volunteers are needed to assist with this latest project on Tuesday through Thursday for insulation and on Feb. 25-28 for the drywall.
