Community park under construction in Nevada Trails

A 10-acre park is under construction at Nevada Trails, a Pardee Homes' development in the southwestern valley. The park is just the beginning of amenities for residents, according to Ray Landry, assistant vice president of sales.

"When completed, Nevada Trails will include more than 23 acres of parks and trails," he said. "In addition to that, there are several recreation sites planned for the nearby area, including golf courses and a major regional park."

The new park is being built by Pardee in cooperation with the Clark County Parks and Recreation Department, and is located near Warm Springs Road and Rainbow Boulevard. It will feature basketball and tennis courts, play areas, ball fields, an exercise track and picnic areas.

Nevada Trails is comprised of three neighborhoods and a model village showcasing 11 floor plans. All homes have earned the Energy Star label from the Environmental Protection Agency, as well as the ComfortWise designation.

All three floor plans in Saddle Peak, a gated neighborhood, are single-story. They measure from 2,565 to 3,025 square feet and offer as many as five bedrooms, three baths and three-car garages.

Homes are priced from $269,700, and are highlighted by courtyard entries and island kitchens. Sunrooms, secondary master bedrooms, home offices and courtyard fireplaces are optional.

Buyers can choose from four plans at Silver Tree, where prices start from $224,950. Designs range from 2,000 to 3,844 square feet with as many as seven bedrooms, four baths and two- or three-car garages. Options include guest suites, super bonus rooms, secondary suites and workshops.

Manzanita's homes measure from 1,414 to 2,566 square feet with as many as five bedrooms, two to three baths, and two- or three-car garages. Prices start from $182,450.

To visit the model park, take Interstate 215 to Rainbow Boulevard, go one mile south to Robindale Road and turn right.

The sales office is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily except Monday, when it opens at 11 a.m.

Pardee has built more than 25,000 homes in Southern Nevada since 1952.
