Rolladen owner touts shutters' abilities

Rolladen Rolling Shutters have proved popular among many owners of two-story homes throughout the valley, company owner Fran Minnozzi said.

She said at least 25 percent of the shutters installed in the valley by her company are on two-story homes.

The rolling, filled-aluminum shutters can be installed over windows, doors and dog doors.

Minnozzi said they help stabilize temperatures inside a home throughout the year, lowering power consumption by as much as 64 percent, while offering protection against burglaries, high wind, dust and pollen, and intense sunlight.

Throughout February, the company is offering 50 percent off installation charges.

The company, which has been operating in the valley for about 20 years, has a showroom at 6168 W. Charleston Blvd.
