Ridge Court visit convinces couple to buy

The combination of design, location and price convinced Creighton and Xioqian Wiltshire to purchase a home at Ridge Court, a Richmond American Homes neighborhood in the southwestern valley.

"We looked at many homes all over the Las Vegas Valley for about a month and had found a couple of homes that interested us, but we were not absolutely convinced to buy. Then one day, when we were visiting another community, we happened to drive by Ridge Court and tour the models. We were overwhelmed by the floor plan and amenities incorporated in the price. We also could not ask for a better location," Creighton Wiltshire said.

Four courtyard designs start from the mid-$200,000s.

The Wiltshires purchased the largest plan, the two-story Fall design. The 1,645-square-foot plan can be expanded to 1,933 square feet and offers as many as five bedrooms with a combined living and dining area, as well as a family room and nook. An upstairs bonus room is optional.

"The vaulted ceilings and big kitchen were precisely what we were looking for in a home. Also, the master bath has a separate tub and shower that we really enjoy," he said.

The other available two-story designs are: the 1,357-square-foot Spring, a three-bedroom home; the Summer, which ranges from 1,418 to 1,598 square feet and offers three bedrooms and options for a loft and/or bonus room; and the 1,485-square-foot Winter model, a three-bedroom, 2 1/2-bath home with a great room, formal dining area and kitchen nook.

The same designs are also available at the builder's Alterra, Lone Mountain Terrace and Seasons neighborhoods. The builder has 24 active neighborhoods in the valley offering homes priced from the $100,000s to the $400,000s.

The sales office and model homes are open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily except Monday and Friday, when they open at noon.
