Pulte aims to satisfy customers
Pulte Homes strives to create "homeowners for life" through its warranty and customer service programs, building on founder Bill Pulte's philosophy of "doing things right the first time." For the first year, the company guarantees all homes' construction, materials and workmanship. Plumbing, electrical, heating, ventilating, air conditioning and other mechanical systems are covered for two years. Various water infiltration and internal leaks are covered for as many as five years, while structural elements such as footings, bearing walls, beams, girders, trusses, rafters, bearing columns, lintels, posts, subfloors and roof sheathing are warranted for 10 years. If the home is sold, the warranty is transferable to the new owner. The builder's eight-step customer service program covers a 22-month period from the final walk-through at purchase to ensure the homes continue to perform at expected levels and address any warranty concerns. In addition, a customer service manager reviews maintenance tips to extend the life of the home and is available to answer questions or address concerns. "Pulte Homes is committed to doing the right thing. To ensure a `homeowner for life,' we will always go the extra mile to back up our craftsmanship and take responsibility for our processes, if necessary," area service manager Robert Howard said. All homes built by the company exceed the Environmental Protection Agency's Energy Star requirements and are at least 30 percent more energy efficient than federal standards require. In addition, they feature the builder's Environments for Living technology and offer a three-year heating and cooling energy-use guarantee. The Bloomfield Hills, Mich.-based builder operates in more than 40 markets nationwide. Its 19 new subdivisions in Southern Nevada include Silverstone Ranch and Wyeth Ranch in the northwestern valley; Serenata and Vialetto in the Aliante master plan in North Las Vegas; Paradiso, Summerfield, Hillstone, Miramonte and Escala in Summerlin; and Anthem Highlands in the Anthem master plan in Henderson. Homes measure from 1,346 to 3,816 square feet and are priced from the low $300,000s to the low $700,000s. Its subsidiary, Del Webb, honors the same warranty at its three valley age-qualified communities: Sun City Anthem, Sun City Aliante and Solera at Anthem. Available homes range from 1,140 to 3,175 square feet and are priced from the mid-$250,000s to more than $600,000.
