Debbie and John Doty were in Arizona for Christmas when William Lyon Homes sales agent Pat Cavanaugh called to say she had the keys to their new home at Tramonto at Mountain Falls, a master-planned community in Pahrump.
The couple and their sons, Justin, 10, and Jason, 5, returned to Southern Nevada and paid a Christmas Day visit to Cavanaugh to make their new home purchase official.

"We couldn't believe it. Pat invited us to her home and made herself available on Christmas Day," John said. "She gave us an orientation of our new homeowner packet and produced the keys. It was absolutely the best Christmas present ever."
The Dotys, formerly of Lake Elsinore, Calif., purchased Plan Four in the builder's all single-story neighborhood.
The 2,445-square-foot design includes four bedrooms, up to three baths and three-car garage. A living room and dining room are situated near the front entrance. The family room, kitchen, master suite and bedrooms occupy the back of the home. Structural variations allow for a den, bonus room, office and secondary bedrooms suite. Bay window extensions and a fireplace in the master bedroom are optional features.
Tramonto's four single-story layouts range from 1,970 to 2,445 square feet and include three-car garages and as many as four bedrooms and three baths. Homes are priced from the mid-$200,000s.
For a limited time, the builder is offering a free two-year family membership to Mountain Falls Golf Club, an 18-hole parkland course, when buyers use the preferred lender. The incentive is offered exclusively at the neighborhood.
The builder's single-story developments, Cascata Ancora and Bella Sera at Mountain Falls, are now selling. Cascata Ancora offers four floor plans measuring 1,429 to 1,774 square feet, priced from the low $200,000s. Bella Sera, starting in the low $300,000s, features three floor plans ranging from 2,495 to 2,897 square feet.
The master-planned community includes a resident facility with fitness center, resident lounge with pool table, family pool, adult pool, spa and interactive water-play area. The Mountain Falls Grill Room, located in the adjacent clubhouse, is open to the public.
Neighborhood mini-parks and a 4-mile walking trail are planned for Mountain Falls.
Model homes are open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, except Monday when they open at noon.
