MacDonald Highlands' lots eclectic
Designed to blend with their environment, MacDonald Highlands features a limited number of home sites placed in such a way as to protect the integrity of the natural mountainous landscape, according to the developer, the MacDonald Cos. Views of the valley can be seen from many points within the Henderson community. MacDonald Highlands is built around the DragonRidge Country Club, a private golf course. Membership is limited, however the course is open to the public until membership capacity is reached. The clubhouse, scheduled for completion this year, will feature a golf shop, exercise facility, swimming pool, upscale dining room and a separate mixed grill and lounge. The community has 10 custom-home neighborhoods under development offering home sites with varied topography and views. Buyers can choose from flat to hillside elevations with views of the golf course, mountains or city. Lots range from one-quarter acre to more than 4 acres. Prices start at $191,000 to more than $3.5 million. "If you have ever dreamed of belonging to such a distinctive community, then I invite you to experience MacDonald Highlands," said Rich MacDonald, president of MacDonald Cos. "Whether you prefer a golf course site overlooking DragonRidge Country Club, a hidden canyon, a dramatic cliff, or your own mountaintop, we have an estate lot for your choice of lifestyle." The guard-gated development is planned to include three neighborhood parks with tennis, basketball and volleyball courts; play areas; and picnic facilities. Five miles of fitness trails also are planned. To visit the information center at 1700 W. Horizon Ridge Parkway, Suite 100, take Interstate 215 to Valle Verde Drive and travel south to Horizon Ridge Parkway. The office is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
