Summerlin's Super Bowl Plunge
Nearly a dozen daring Summerlin residents participated in the community's fifth annual Super Bowl Plunge, an event coordinated for residents by The Summerlin Council, part of the community association. Held on the morning of the big game, it entailed participants jumping into a pool of 40-something-degree water and swimming 25 yards while spectators cheered. Following the event, a splash competition was held. Participants received long-sleeved T-shirts and other prizes.
