Politico buys home in Pardee's Talavera

Kelvin Atkinson and his family are delighted with their home in the Talavera neighborhood in Eldorado, a community Pardee Homes is developing in North Las Vegas. Atkinson, who represents his neighbors in Assembly District 17, said he chose the home based on "good reviews from friends who lived in Pardee homes and others who lived in Eldorado.

"I saw the model and that was it," he said, referring to his family's two-story Plan Four home. The floor plan allows for as many as five bedrooms and three baths with a den or optional loft and a three-car garage. It measures 2,296 square feet and is priced from $178,950.

Buyers can choose from four single- and two-story floor plans with three to five bedrooms, two or three baths, family rooms, formal living rooms, island kitchens in most plans and master suites. Two- and three-car garages are featured.

Homes measure from 1,383 to 2,296 square feet, and are priced from $143,950 to $182,950. Each plan includes the Energy Star package that keeps homes warmer in winter and cooler in summer while reducing the need for energy by at least 30 percent.

The model park is located within Eldorado Highlands, which is near the community's 22-acre Seastrand Park.

To visit the model park, take Craig Road to Camino al Norte and proceed north to the community's entrance. The sales office is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily except Monday, when it opens at 11 a.m.
