Former Floridians find `easy choice' at Sun City Anthem
Trading Florida for Southern Nevada was a easy choice for Marvin and Sangnyo Lifschitz. "We had spent 10 years in Palm City," Marvin Lifschitz said. "But we wanted a change, and since we had spent a number of vacations and conventions here, we knew what to expect." The couple recently purchased a Colonial model at Sun City Anthem, Del Webb's age-qualified community in Henderson. Their two-bedroom, two-bath, home has a golf cart area and a Nevada room in 1,802 square feet. The home also comes with a covered patio. "We did not want an overly large house," he said. "The Colonial had the features we like, and our location gives us a beautiful panoramic view of the golf course." Situated in the foothills of Black Mountain, The Revere at Anthem Golf Club features two championship golf courses, the Lexington and Concord. Both are designed to take advantage of the surrounding terrain. Lifschitz said he enjoys both courses but finds the Lexington a bit more challenging. In addition to golf, Lifschitz regularly uses the fitness center and is on the board of directors of the finance club. "We meet monthly and have about 200 members at various levels of knowledge," he said. "The club's purpose is to explore areas of interest through speakers who talk about the investment market; it is not an investment club." Formerly an officer with a real estate investment firm that specialized in shopping centers, office buildings and major regional centers, Lifschitz said Del Webb's customer service program is outstanding. "I've never seen a developer equal to the customer care commitment they have here," he said. Sangnyo Lifschitz belongs to the mah-jongg club. The community is home to Anthem Center, which offers fitness, social and recreational opportunities for residents as well as Trumpets Restaurant and Lounge, which is open to the public. Homes range from 1,235 to 3,175 square feet, and are priced from the $170,000s to more than $500,000. Presales have begun for 12 new home plans. Models for them are under construction. To visit the model village, take Eastern Avenue south, past St. Rose Parkway, to Anthem Parkway and turn left, then follow the signs. The models are open daily from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
