Pardee Homes brings Crescendo neighbors together at block party

Pardee Homes sales agent Jessica Lewis recently organized a "get to know your new neighbor" block party at the builder's gated Crescendo neighborhood in Seven Hills.
"Pardee wants everyone to feel comfortable in their new neighborhood as well as their home, so we planned a casual event to allow everyone to get to know each other," Lewis said.
"I really enjoy the company of everyone I've come in contact with during their new home purchase, so I wanted each of them to know one another for the very same reason," she said. "It's sometimes difficult in Las Vegas to have the opportunity to know your neighbors due to the different schedules in a 24-hour town."
Residents John and Penny Renkke set up the barbeque in their driveway and other residents brought food for a pot luck feast.
"What's great about this gathering is that everyone has something in common," resident Melinda Cooke said. "We're all new homeowners with the same agenda -- decorating our homes and landscaping our back yards."
The neighborhood offers three two-story homes, ranging from 2,473 to 3,068 square feet. Homes are priced from $196,950 to $217,450.
Interiors offer a choice of ceramic-tile or parquet entry flooring; gas fireplaces; and owner suites with separate tubs and showers, walk-in closets, dual sinks, separate toilets, ceramic-tile counter tops, and raised-panel doors.
The Vivaldi floor plan features an island kitchen with ceramic-tile counter tops, a pantry and appliance package.
"Pardee is building energy-efficient, money saving homes at Crescendo with standard features that meet the very highest standards of energy efficiency to merit the coveted Energy Star seal and the `ComfortWise' designation," Ray Landry, assistant vice president of sales, said. Such features include programmable thermostats, dual-pane vinyl clad windows, and insulated exterior walls and ceilings.
An in-house design center assists buyers with options, such as crown molding, wood window casing, wood shutters, video entry system, entertainment center cabinetry and task lighting in the kitchen.
To visit, take Lake Mead Drive to Seven Hills Drive, which is west of Eastern Avenue, and go south. Models are open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily except Monday, when they open at 11 a.m.
