PortaCielo to host invitation-only open house

     Innovative Resort Communities will join with Lake Las Vegas Resort in hosting an open house for prospective buyers and brokers.
      The event, scheduled for Saturday from noon to 4 p.m., will feature a tour of PortaCielo's floor plans as well as other homes within the SouthShore residential community.
      Visitors can register for a drawing within each home. Prizes include crystal, golf for two at the SouthShore Golf Club, a cocktail cruise for six on the resort's lake, and dinner for two at an area restaurant. Winners will be announced at 4:30 p.m. and need not be present to win.
      Lynelle Berkey, vice president of marketing for Innovative Resort Communities, will host the event.
      "(It's) a festive way for attendees to view the homes and become familiar with the models," Berkey said. "If you have not toured Lake Las Vegas Resort, you are truly missing one of the world's finest master communities."
      PortaCielo offers three floor plans, ranging from 2,460 to 3,500 square feet.
      Prices begin at $515,000s.
      Various features in the homes include casitas, wet bars, courtyards, butler's pantries, fireplaces, and wine and china storage.
      SouthShore includes a 144-boat slip marina with a market, the Hyatt Regency Hotel, and police and fire stations.

      To visit, take Lake Mead Drive, seven miles east of Boulder Highway, to Lake Las Vegas Parkway.
      Sales office hours are from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
