Sun City Anthem to host Valentine's party

     The Sun City Anthem community will host a Sweetheart's Dance on Saturday.
      Del Webb Corp., the community's developer and event host, will give away a cruise during the festivities, which will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Renee Schwan, special events coordinator, said entertainment and refreshments will be provided.
      "We'll have a jazz quartet performing at the Sweetheart's event and the first 1,000 people will receive Belgian chocolate truffles," Schwan said. "And all ladies who attend the event will receive a rose in honor of Valentine's Day."
      Schwan said special events are planned every month through July at the community and are an excellent way to showcase the community's lifestyle to visitors.
      The age-qualified community is located in the 5,000-acre Anthem master plan.
      The model village showcases 15 floor plans, ranging from 1,235 to 3,009 square feet.
      Homes are priced from the $140,000s to more than $500,000.
      Amenities include The Revere golf course, a par-72, 18-hole course that is the first of three to be built at the community.
      The community's first recreation center, scheduled to open in spring, will include indoor and outdoor pools, a spa, indoor walking track, computer lab, library/reading room, dance and aerobic studio, billiards, tennis courts, restaurant, lounge, and outdoor walking trail.
      To visit, take Eastern Avenue south, two miles past Lake Mead Drive and follow the signs. Model homes are open daily from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
