Real Estate Achievements
n Richard D. Smith has been appointed president and chief executive officer of Lee & Associates, a local commercial real estate brokerage firm. Since 1990, the 20-year commercial real estate veteran has been president and owner of RDS Associates, and from 1995 to 1999 he was vice president of commercial development for American Nevada Corp. He is also president of the Southern Nevada Chapter of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties.
n Marta Golding Brown has been named major projects team leader for the Clark County Department of Comprehensive Planning. Previously, she was manager of legislative and special affairs for the city of North Las Vegas, where she also served as an assistant to the city manager and a lead city lobbyist.
n Robert Dawson has joined Pardee Homes as the general manager of sales processing. Dawson, who began his real estate career at Pardee Homes in 1985, returns to the company after working in mortgage banking at Weyerhaeuser Mortgage Co. and North American Mortgage Co. He also recently served as the sales marketing manager for a San Diego Internet company focused on the real estate industry.
n Michael J. Lee has been hired as a project manager at Commercial Roofers Inc. in Las Vegas. The 12-year industry veteran most recently worked with Eberhard Southwest.
n Roberta Starzec of the Peccole Ranch Community Association has earned the Certified Managers of Community Associations designation from the National Board of Certification for Community Association Managers.
n Patrick Martino of Prudential Americana Group, Realtors has been awarded the Graduate Realtor Institute designation from the Greater Las Vegas Association of Realtors. Martino has been with the company for more than three years.
n Coldwell Banker Commercial-ETN's E. Thomas Naseef represented 10-80-10 Youth Fitness Center in the five-year lease of 6,000 square feet at 8665 W. Flamingo Road, Suites 114-117, from Nigro & Associates, represented by Soozi Jones, for $396,000. In another transaction, Michael Belnick represented John and Ruth Williams in the sale of a four-unit apartment building at 2161 Exeter Drive to Paul and Maribel Banuelos, represented by Luis Rosales, for $195,000. Belnick also represented Betty and Robert Mauer Jr. in the sale of a four-unit apartment building at 916 Bridgewater St. to Jose Montoya and Erika Sanchez, represented by General Realty's Al Hernandez, for $181,000.
n Pro Commercial Real Estate's Gary Burgher represented Vegas Machine Nevada Crankshaft and Robert and Sarah Crock in the five-year lease of 4,148 square feet at 5038 Bond St. for $163,970.
n Colliers International's Pat Marsh represented both parties in OrcoNet.Com Inc.'s five-year, 3,060-square-foot lease at 4305 E. Sahara Ave. from Weingarten Nostat Inc. for $124,731. In another transaction, Michael DeLew, Spencer Pinter and Greg Pancirov represented both parties in Concorde Investment Group's 61-month lease of 7,568 square feet at 1889 E. Maule Ave., Suite B, to American Development Co. for $262,498. DeLew, Tom van Betten and Pinter also represented both parties in Vari-Lite Inc.'s 62-month, 14,533-square-foot lease at 1889 E. Maule Ave., Suite G, from Concorde Investment Group for $495,893.
n Insight Realty Associates' Jim Zeiter represented Boulder MD in the sale of the 49,373-square-foot Boulder Ranch Business Center at the corner of Boulder Highway and Russell Road to David Mitchell of Industrial Commercial Properties for $268,768.
n GVA Industrial Property Group's Dean Willmore represented both parties in Green Valley Pools' purchase of a 5,160-square-foot building at 4045 E. Post Road from Annie Oakley Business Center for $397,000. In another transaction, Al Kingham represented Preferred Equities Corp. in the sale of the Calvada Champion & Executive Golf Course in Pahrump to PGC Land Co. for $2.25 million. In another transaction, David Stubbs and Art Farmanali represented Pride Mobility Products Corp. in the four-year lease of 34,432 square feet at 2970 N. Lamb Blvd. from Dermody Properties for $587,000.

John Sweetland III represented both parties in Mitch Wilson's purchase of 3.18 acres at the southeast corner of Wagon Trail and Schirlls Street from Robert and Kathleen Dieleman for $752,025. Sweetland also represented both parties in Smoke Ranch Partnership's purchase of 4 acres at the southeast corner of Sunset and Arville roads from Robert Dieleman and Marcella Brendible for $1.22 million.
n Colliers International's Scott Gragson, John Kilpatrick and Robert Torres negotiated Sunrise Mountain Inc.'s sale of 5 acres at the northeast corner of Maule Avenue and Gagnier Boulevard to Alan Arnold for $565,000. Gragson, Kilpatrick and Torres also negotiated Apache 15 General Partnership's sale of 10 acres at the northeast corner of Fort Apache Road and Russell Road to CH Mouton Inc. for $1.2 million.
n CB Richard Ellis' Randy Broadhead and Brad Peterson represented Silverstream Assoc. in the five-year lease of 9,446 square feet at 501 N. Rainbow Blvd. to Credit Plus Real Estate of Las Vegas for $1.03 million. In another transaction, Lisa Gonzales and Peterson represented DSA Development's five-year lease of 3,586 square feet at 4000 S. Eastern Ave. to Maxim Group Inc. for $440,000.
n Century 21 Commercial Division's Mark I. Lefkowitz represented Desert Trust in the sale of 5 acres at the corner of Maule Avenue and Gagnier Boulevard to GK Acquisitions Inc. for $565,000.
n Lee & Associates' Mel Koich and Carla Kurtz represented Las Vegas Motor Speedway in the five-year lease of 10,900 square feet at 6955 Speedway Blvd. to DDAS Inc. for $189,372. In a separate transaction, Koich and Kurtz represented Las Vegas Motor Speedway in the five-year lease of 5,067 square feet at 6959 Speedway Blvd., Suite W103, to European Home Living Inc. for $88,032. In another transaction, Susan Russell represented Landiscor Aerial Information in the three-year lease of 1,500 square feet at 3900 Paradise Road, Suite 100, from Glenborough Realty Trust for $98,675.
