Terraced lots at Vineyards overlook city, mountains
Home buyers looking for a larger home site with views of the city and mountains will be impressed by the Vineyards neighborhood in Summerlin, according to Karen Gaines, a sales agent for Christopher Homes, the builder. The guard-gated enclave features one-quarter acre to one-third acre lots in The Arbors village. Four one- and two-story floor plans range from 3,072 to 5,000 square feet and are priced from the high $300,000s. The builder allows buyers to customize their homes to suit their needs. "In designing the Vineyards neighborhood, Christopher Homes utilized innovative land planning techniques, taking great care to assure that homeowners would not only have spacious interiors, but a spacious outdoor environment as well," Gaines said. "This meant that fewer homes could be built in Vineyards, but it enabled us to offer very large home sites and to include a linear park and the magnificent fountain plazas that are seen throughout the neighborhood," she said. "Strolling through Vineyards evokes a sense of being in an elegant European village of fine estate homes. At every turn, there is another pleasant vista, whether it be the city skyline, the mountains, the beautiful fountains or the richly detailed exteriors of the homes." Many lots are elevated and terraced, providing views of the valley and mountains. Home designs incorporate such features as motorcourts, balconies, courtyards with fireplaces, and architectural detailing. Options include casitas, secondary suites, extra bedrooms and baths, bonus rooms, libraries, and wet bars. To visit, take Summerlin Parkway west to Town Center Drive, go south to Hualapai Way and turn right, proceeding to Laurelglen Drive and into the guard-gated entrance. The sales office is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
