First-time buyer chooses condo at Vistana
Andrea Landon, a first-time home buyer, said owning a condominium at Rhodes Homes' Vistana at Rhodes Ranch in the southwestern valley is far better than paying rent. "For the people that believe they can't own their own home, Vistana proves them wrong," she said. "The location ... makes it a convenient place to call home, (and it's) nice to be living in part of the upscale Rhodes Ranch community." Landon, a native of Montana, works in the slots department at a local resort. She chose the Madrid floor plan, an 847-square-foot home with two bedrooms and two baths. Landon plans soon to move into her new home, which is on the third floor. Her home, as with all homes at Vistana, comes with an appliance package and window coverings. Homes are priced from the mid-$70,000s to the mid-$130,000s. Three floor plans feature one bedroom and one bath and range from 670 to 796- square feet; five designs feature two bedrooms and two baths and measure from 847 to 1,200 square feet; and one plan offers three bedrooms and two baths in 1,413 square feet. Community amenities include three planned swimming pools, a spa and two-story fitness center. To visit the complex, take Interstate 215 to Durango Drive, then go south following the signs. The sales office is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
