Thousands attend debut of Iron Mountain Ranch

SPECIAL TO REAL ESTATE

KB Home reports that it sold 40 homes during last weekend's grand opening celebration at Iron Mountain Ranch, a 460-acre community being developed in the northwestern Las Vegas Valley.

The builder said more than 3,000 visitors attended the festivities at the community, which will eventually comprise 11 villages with a mountain backdrop. The first villages to open are Palo Verde and Laredo; Abilene will open for sales within a few months.

"We were very pleased by the response to the opening of Iron Mountain Ranch," Leah Bryant, president of KB Home's Las Vegas Division, said. "Iron Mountain Ranch is KB Home's newest community, and we expect to be able to fill the need of many for homes in this area of the valley."

Among the weekend's activities were free pony rides, a petting zoo and Western-style barbecue.

Iron Mountain Ranch offers 10 models and 17 floor plans, ranging from 1,245 to 3,633 square feet in single- and two-story designs. The homes are priced from the low $120,000s.

One benefit for potential home buyers is that the services of the Kaufman and Broad Mortgage Co. and the KB Homebuyers Club are available on-site at Iron Mountain Ranch, according to Bryant.

"KB Home works with individual buyers to make purchasing a home easy and affordable," she said. "Kaufman and Broad Mortgage Co. can offer buyers competitive rates and convenient financing programs. From application to escrow, buyers enjoy numerous benefits."

The KB Homebuyers Club is a free service that provides a personal home-buying counselor who guides potential buyers step-by-step through the home-buying process. The counselor assists with everything from developing a savings plan for a down payment and mortgage qualification to finding the perfect floor plan, according to Bryant.

"The Homebuyers Club has been a great success (and) has helped many potential buyers become homeowners," she said.

To visit Iron Mountain Ranch, take U.S. Highway 95 to Ann Road, head east to Jones Boulevard, then go north about three miles to Grand Teton Drive and turn right. The sales office is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily except Friday, when it opens at 11 a.m.

More than 5,000 designer options and upgrades are displayed in the 15,000-square-foot showroom at the KB Home Studio. Buyers can view appliances, kitchen cabinets, counter tops, bathroom fixtures, lighting fixtures, flooring, home wiring, window coverings and doors among other items. The studio is located at 7440 S. Industrial Road, Suite 201, just south of Warm Springs Road.
