House hunting seldom ends at the moment of purchase. There are design considerations, colors, flooring and fixtures that when selected often turn the purchase of a dream house into a home.
Richmond American's Home Gallery at 7770 S. Dean Martin Drive, Suite 10, offers professional consultations and design products throughout each phase of finding, purchasing and outfitting new homes, according to new home manager Susan Lee.

"Instead of driving all over town, prospective home buyers can browse communities, floor plans and design options, all in one convenient location," Lee said. "This is a place where finding a new home isn't time-consuming and difficult; it's convenient and enjoyable."
The gallery has begun hosting a series of events from cooking classes to home design seminars.
The next event is scheduled for Feb. 24, when Chef Michael Jordan from Rosemary's Restaurant will perform a live cooking demonstration. The culinary event, entitled A Sweet Celebration, will provide hors d'oeuvres, tastings and prize giveaways including GE Wine Coolers and gift certificates to Rosemary's.
The free event will benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. The builder will make a donation in honor of each guest in attendance. The culinary demonstrations will take place at 11 a.m., 12:30 and 2 p.m.
The gallery provides information on floor plans and communities. Interactive kiosks deliver details regarding neighborhoods and designs, along with virtual model tours.
Six model kitchens, carpeting, cabinetry and additional design samples are displayed throughout the gallery.
It is open to the public from 9 a.m to 7 p.m. daily, except Saturday, when it closes at 6 p.m. and Sunday when it opens from noon to 5 p.m.
To visit, take Interstate 15 to the Blue Diamond Road exit. Go west on Blue Diamond, north on Dean Martin Drive, and right on Robindale Road. Take the first right into the parking lot, then take an immediate left and follow the parking lot to the Home Gallery.
