Del Webb invests in CowParade

As CowParade draws to a close, little time remains to see "Mooving North," which was "adopted" by North Valley Enterprises, an affiliate of American Nevada Co. and Del Webb Corp. The colorful bovine beauty is currently "grazing" within the Anthem community in Henderson.

"Our contribution features soaring birds, clear blue skies and the Sheep Mountain Range that is the real-life backdrop to the Aliante master-planned community," Chris Haines, president of Del Webb, said referring to his company's new development in North Las Vegas.

CowParade, an art for charity event, also features cows with names such as "Viva Moo Vegas," "Udderly Lucky," "Cowzilla," "Moo Man Group," "Moo York, Moo York" and "Wayne Moootan."

Locally, auction proceeds will go to the Andre Agassi Foundation, which assists low-income children. The online auction is scheduled through Sotheby's next month.

To visit Del Webb's Sun City Anthem, take Eastern Avenue south, two miles past St. Rose Parkway, turn left on Anthem Parkway and then turn right on Alexandria Drive. The sales office is open from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.

Sun City Aliante is the adult component of the 1,905-acre Aliante community. A temporary sales office is open at 7891 Tropical Parkway, Suite 120, in the Centennial Marketplace at U.S. Highway 95 and Centennial Parkway. Office hours are from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
