Christopher garners 12 industry awardsSPECIAL TO REAL ESTATE
Christopher Homes captured 12 honors at the 2004 National Sales and Marketing Awards, an annual program held in conjunction with the International Builders' Show. At the Jan. 19 ceremony at the Bellagio hotel, the Las Vegas-based builder received a combined 11 awards for its The Enclave and The Villas neighborhoods, both located within the Southern Highlands Golf Club, in addition to a regional award naming Erika Geiser, the company's vice president of marketing, as marketing director of the year. J. Christopher Stuhmer, chief executive, was delighted about his company's performance. "When your colleagues recognize your achievements, it is particularly gratifying," Stuhmer said. "I credit our performance in the Nationals to the entire Christopher Homes team and to our long-standing relationships with such nationally recognized companies as Scheurer Architects, Design Tec and Nuvis Landscaping. This is a wonderful way to begin the New Year, and we are all looking forward to another year of great growth and success in 2004." More than 1,100 entries were submitted. The Enclave is a gated neighborhood that will comprise 14 custom residences. Nearly all of the lots measure one-half acre or larger, many with city, mountain and golf course views. The custom homes, including the lots, will be valued from about $2 million to more than $8 million. Buyers at The Enclave receive a golf membership to the country club, upon application approval. The Villas offers eight single-family designs ranging from 1,983 to 3,400 square feet and priced from the $400,000s. Most of the homes are on cul-de-sacs. Select single-story plans can be expanded to two stories, and the two-story design can be expanded to three stories. All front-yard landscaping is handled through the association. The Christopher Collection, also in Southern Highlands, offers 13 residential designs measuring from 3,072 to 6,200 square feet. Prices start from the low $500,000s to more than $1 million. Home sites average one-quarter acre. The designs include single-story plans, two-story residences with main-level master suites or upstairs master suites, and casitas. Both neighborhoods feature home sites with city, mountain and golf course views. Customizing options include elevators, motor courts, courtyard fireplaces, detached guest quarters, room additions, four-car garages, extra baths, bonus rooms, libraries, wine cellars and wet bars. Home buyers at The Villas and The Christopher Collection receive a membership to Southern Highlands Golf Club, upon application approval. Christopher also operates a full-service custom-home division, which builds valleywide. Southern Highlands Golf Club is a 24-hour, guard-gated community in the southwestern valley. It is highlighted by a championship golf course, as well as a health spa. The private golf course is anchored by a clubhouse which features formal and informal dining, a golf library, wine room, locker rooms, and a pro shop.
