Pulte program aims at homeowner satisfaction

Pulte Homes has launched its Homeowner for Life program, which guarantees its buyers receive quality service and products before and after the home sale. Each factor of the program means all buyers receive homes that are built to perform and exceed standards, according to the builder.

The program addresses construction, energy-saving products, service and warranty, and wiring systems.

All Pulte homes are built with post-tension foundations, which resist soil pressures, material loads, cracks and inconsistencies.

On the energy-efficient side, the builder has been constructing all Energy Star-labeled homes since 1999. This concept is taken a step further, as each home also features the builder's own Environments for Living building technology.

Among the homes' energy-efficient features is cocoon cellulose insulation, which is blown into the walls while damp and forms a stiff protective barrier. In addition, the low-emissivity windows with spectrally selective glass reduce heat infiltration.

All buyers are part of Pulte's seven-step customer care program, through which service representatives visit the homeowner several times during the first year of ownership to ensure satisfaction with the home.

Last year was the third consecutive year the builder received the highest ranking in customer satisfaction among area home builders from J.D. Power and Associates.

Each home also includes the home builder's 10-year transferable warranty.

Standard features in all homes include a structured-wiring system by Leviton Integrated Networks. The system handles telephone, fax, high-speed Internet access, and cable modem, as well as satellite and digital television. The system is installed during the home's construction phase.

Pulte is developing 10 new-home neighborhoods throughout Southern Nevada. The company, based in Bloomfield Hills, Mich., is one of the largest home builders in the nation and also maintains operations in Puerto Rico, Mexico and Argentina.
