Sales wind down at Sun City MacDonald Ranch

Fewer than 30 homes remain for sale at Sun City MacDonald Ranch, Del Webb Corp.'s second age-qualified community in Nevada.

"This is an impressive community located in the foothills of Black Mountain in Henderson, and based on the strong demand for our homes, they won't be available much longer," senior sales manager William Shepperd said.

More than 2,000 homes have been sold in the community, which opened for sales in fall 1995.

"Our residents live in a serene environment with top-rate amenities," Shepperd said. "Paired with the enduring reputation of Del Webb and the community's emphasis on health, fitness and numerous activities, Sun City MacDonald Ranch offers a superb standard of living."

The 36,000-square-foot Desert Willow Community Center houses a pro shop; The Willows restaurant; a fitness center; and arts, crafts and computer rooms. Also featured is a 250-seat social hall, a reading room, billiards room and outdoor swimming pool.

The 18-hole Desert Willow Golf Course is a par-60, executive-length course that winds through the community.

Homes in the Premier Series provide two bedrooms, two baths, living and dining areas, and utility rooms.

At 1,261 square feet, the Palm Desert plan also offers an optional patio and an owner bedroom bay window.

The Georgetown measures 1,374 square feet and features a combined living and dining room. A patio is optional as is a bay window in the owner bedroom.

Both the 1,502-square-foot Phoenix plan and the 1,562-square-foot Hilton Head model include breakfast nooks.

Additional options include fireplaces and third bedrooms.

Homes in the Premier Series are priced from the low $190,000s. Homes are also available in the Classic Series, which offers the Roseville plan, a 1,020-square-foot home. Prices in this series start from the high $130,000s.

To visit, take Interstate 215 to Green Valley Parkway and head south. Turn east on Horizon Ridge Parkway. The sales office is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
